Goals & role description:
As a key member of the team , the Temenos workstream Technical Director (hereafter TD) will be responsible for ensuring several duties (see “TD main duties”, below) for one of the key workstreams (see “Temenos workstream”, below) within the Internalization Programme (which includes other technical workstreams)
The TD will ensure, according to the standardized project phases in Team(see “Team project stages”, below)
Team project phases (for clarity purposes, only Execution sub-phases are detailed):
Initiation & discovery: Agree on project objectives, tasks, milestones, participants, deadlines, resources, etc., with required stakeholders, in order to define what is intended to be achieved so IT can conduct a proper assessment regarding estimates/magnitude from the Strategy phase and establishing an initial high-level plan
Requirements & planning: Detail the 'what' of the product, the problem that the product or service needs to solve, providing detailed requirements to ensure a clear vision of what the user/business needs and what exactly needs to be developed
Development: Carry out coding and technological development in an orderly and efficient manner
Change Management: Ensure proper communication and training required before mote to production
Quality & acceptance testing: Ensure product delivery according to expected quality, behaves as agreed with Product Owner (navigation, content, validations, conditions, rules, etc.), and meets security requirements
Deployment & closure: Agree on implementation decision and ensure product/service move to production
Temenos workstream:
Composed from several providers (ie. Accenture, Luxat, …) and projects (ie. Temenos Architecture, Temenos Core & Customer, Temenos Accounts, Temenos Loans, Temenos Payments, Temenos Securities, etc.)
TD main duties (not exhaustive):
Identify and propose key stakeholders for the project/s
Produce IT estimates as per outputs from initial project workshops and update Team toolset (mainly JIRA & Confluence)
Support to Product Owner (PO) in requirements capture, definition and validation (with all key stakeholders/units), including acceptance criteria (or test cases) required, update the business case (if required) and update Team toolset
Update project plan as per functional/non-functional requirements and any approved changes
Coordinate product/service development ensuring efficiency, quality and documentation required
Project follow up and related updates on Team toolset
Detect and communicate any significant budget, planning, resources and/or quality deviations and related mitigation plan
Communicate product/service release to production, including communication to related support units (ie. Call Center)
Validation of development from functional, technical and/or security standpoint
Produce testing results documentation and related updates on Team toolset
Follow up of related Incidents and defects
Ensures all documentation required is produced and updated into Team toolset
Experience:
Temenos T24:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the implementation of core banking systems, with at least 3 years of specific experience in T24, preferably in the R23 version
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in the configuration and customization of T24 R23 modules, including but not limited to T24 Core Banking, payments, loans, deposits, and risk management
Experience integrating T24 R23 with other banking systems and external platforms
Strong understanding of T24 R23 architecture and technical components
Skill in developing and executing SQL scripts and managing relational databases associated with T24
Experience in managing data migrations and performing integration and user testing to ensure system quality and functionality
Knowledge of Temenos development and deployment tools and methodologies, including TEMENOS Design Studio, Integration Framework and Common Components
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and optimize Temenos R23 system performance
Familiarity with security and compliance best practices in the implementation of banking systems
Development:
Agile Methodologies Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or XP. Ability to perform roles such as Scrum Master or Product Owner is a plus
Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in all phases of the SDLC, including:
Planning: ability to collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scopes, and deliverables. Experience creating and managing product roadmaps
Requirements Analysis: Ability to work with business analysts and end users to gather and document functional and non-functional requirements. Experience using techniques such as interviews, surveys, and document analysis
System Design: Experience in creating detailed system designs, including architecture diagrams, data models, and technical specifications. Ability to apply software design principles and design patterns
Development: Proficiency in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code. Experience in code review and use of development practices such as TDD (Test Driven Development) or BDD (Behavior Driven Development)
Testing: Experience in creating and executing test plans, test cases and test scripts. Knowledge of testing techniques, including unit, integration, system, and user acceptance testing
Deployment: Knowledge in preparing and executing software deployments in production environments. Experience in release management and implementing continuous delivery practices
Maintenance: Ability to manage and resolve post-deployment incidents and problems. Experience in performing root cause analysis and implementing enhancements and patches
Agile Management Tools: Experience with agile project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Trello, Asana, or similar.
Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD): Knowledge and experience in the configuration and use of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar
Version Control: Solid experience with version control systems such as Git, including branch workflows, pull request management and conflict resolution
Test Automation: Experience implementing and using automated testing frameworks to ensure software quality, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG or similar
Configuration Management: Knowledge in configuration management and deployment tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Docker
Collaboration and Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary and distributed teams
Documentation: Ability to create and maintain clear and concise technical documentation
Project & Program management:
At least 7y (demonstrable) on similar projects, workstreams and/or programmes
Industry experience
At least 10y in Finance Institutions (Private Banking sector very valuable)
