The QA Tester plays a critical role in the software development lifecycle by ensuring
that products meet quality standards before release. This position focuses on
identifying and reporting bugs, conducting thorough testing, and ensuring that the
software meets the functional, performance, and usability requirements. The QA
Tester collaborates closely with developers, product managers, and other
stakeholders to maintain a high standard of quality and improve the overall user
experience.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Test Execution and Reporting
• Execute predefined test cases, documenting results and reporting any
discrepancies, issues, or bugs identified during testing.
• Conduct manual testing, including functional, regression, and usability
testing, to validate that features work as expected.
• Clearly and accurately report defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring
that issues are reproducible and well-documented.
Collaboration and Learning
• Work closely with developers, senior QA engineers, and product managers
to understand requirements and ensure a comprehensive testing
approach.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups,
retrospectives) to gain insight into the development process and offer
feedback from a QA perspective.
• Learn and apply feedback from senior team members to improve testing
quality and personal development.
Documentation and Improvement
• Assist in documenting test results, procedures, and observations to support
the QA team’s knowledge base.
• Provide feedback on user stories and requirements, identifying potential
areas for improvement from a QA perspective.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by learning about new testing
techniques and tools.
Automation
• Knowledge on programming languages such as Java, Phyton is a plus to
participate in maintaining and improving automated test cases
SKILLS
• Familiarity with test planning and test case execution.
• Basic understanding of defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and ability to report
issues clearly.
• Attention to detail and analytical skills for detecting and documenting bugs.
• Basic knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile
methodologies.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to ask questions and seek
clarification when needed.
EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a
related field, or equivalent experience.
• Previous internship or experience in a QA or software testing environment is
a plus, but not required.
• Interest in learning automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium) is a plus.
• Fluent in English.
